Timeline – under 6 six weeks from signing of contract
Project Cost – approximately $70,000
Time to renovate
As it was time for this much-loved home to be rejuvenated to continue to fit their lifestyle needs, our lovely clients had a vision of their dream renovation. So working with our designer they mapped out exactly what they had envisioned. Working together they had designed more efficient, modern and elegant working areas in the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms. These design features included:
- Keeping and embracing the country feel by using shaker style profile doors and drawers in the kitchen
- Using a lighter colour pallet throughout the home
- Creating a larger pantry by redesigning the laundry, whilst keeping it efficient and user friendly
- Redesigning the ensuite to gain more shower room and create a larger vanity with two bowls for individual use
- Redesigning the bathroom to accommodate the new free-standing bathtub
- Renovating the powder room with a new toilet and beautiful tiles
The Brentwood Kitchen team and the clients worked well together, which is key when engaging renovators. The renovation went to schedule; communication is vital. If at any time the clients wondered if something was possible, they consulted with Rob who usually made the dream a reality.
Surviving renovations
A key to surviving their renovations was to move the existing kitchen onto the pergola to set up a temporary ‘home away from home’ whilst they were renovating their kitchen. This also included their washing machine and dryer. A very clever innovative idea to endure such a holistic renovation.
Below are some photos of during the renovations:
Key features
- New bench footprint, from angled to straight
- Shaker style profile doors – vinyl wrap – classic white matt
- Caesarstone bench tops with waterfall end – Ocean Foam – standard range
- New stainless steel appliances
- Stainless steel handles
- Splash back is white subway laid ceramic tiles
- New pendulum lights over bench
- Larger walk in pantry
- Slightly smaller more compact user friendly laundry
- Powder room – new toilet and new tiles
- Bathroom – new bath, tiles, cabinetry, and shower – redesigned vanity to accommodate 2 basins
- Ensuite was a complete new design with a much larger shower and vanity
- Waiting to complete the flooring
End Result
The renovations are awesome and an amazing improvement to this lovely home. The clients are extremely happy with the results.
