Our clients decided on a footprint that would meet their needs rather than use the existing footprint (kitchen design) which involved removing the original sink and bench from underneath the window to give a more spacious feel; and they could easily polish the existing floorboards to look seamless.
To keep a country feel they chose v-groove lining boards in the cabinetry doors which matches the country feel of the rest of the house. Black anti- fingerprint, shell style metal handles give the kitchen a lovely contrast of colour. The colour change from timber to white gives this kitchen a much needed lift and a lighter feel.
Re-design features included: relocating the sink, dishwasher and fridge positions to more functionally sound locations. An undermount stainless steel double bowl sink was included with a beautiful contrasting black feature tap.
Changing the 600mm wall oven to a 900mm free standing oven gave the kitchen a more user-friendly appeal by having all of the cooking appliances in the one area of the kitchen, leaving the island bench free for family entertaining and preparation.
New overheads were implemented along with a larger pantry to create more storage space.
Further features include: pull out twin bin; 40mm Caesarstone bench tops; lighting underneath the overhead cupboards and subway tiled splashback. Fitting stainless steel appliances gave the sleek modern look.
Overall, this is a fabulous transformation which achieved maximising the storage capacity and giving a family friendly atmosphere, ready for any occasion.
